Note: Yes, I know it is very large. If you want to jump to an episode, type in
"Episode X". To get to a certain chapter, do the same thing and continue
finding to cycle through the chapters. To find help on a certain part, type in
part of the text near where you are. Remember, this is a script FAQ. All text
is copied exactly.

|INTRODUCTION & FORMATTING RULES|
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, well this is a script FAQ for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for the
Nintendo DS, which you should already know. Let me start by saying that this
took a really long time to type. A REEEEEEEEALLY long time. I guess I just
really like this game. Actually, I don't guess. I can safely say I really like
this game.
The formatting of my script FAQ is an issue that must be addressed prior to
the viewing of it. Firstly, the text is in the format shown below.
-Name Tag
Line 1
Line 2
Line 3
I cut off the lines exactly where the game cut them off, for authenticity.
A full line of hyphens can indicate a few things.
1. A change of scene
2. A point where the screen fades to black
3. In the investigation chapters, separating the part where characters talk
amongst each other from the parts where you choose what to do (Examine,
present, talk)
A three-sided box of stars (*) around text can serve four different purposes.
1. At points in the game where several options are given, there will be one
box for each option. At the end of the box it will indicate whether you
CONTINUE or RETURN TO QUESTION.
2. When you are asked to present something (not cross-examination), a box
will show what will happen if you present something wrong. Below that
box will be what happens if you present something correctly, not boxed.
3. When you are asked to point out a spot on a photo, map, etc. the same
thing will happen as in point 2. There will be a separate box for what
happens if you show the wrong spot.
4. Perhaps the most common use, during the investigation chapters, will be
to separate text that appears from certain actions. For example, if you
examine a signpost, the text that appears from the examination to the
return to the menu will be inside a box labelled "Examine signpost."
The cross-examination scene (between two hyphen lines) contains several unique
features. There will be numbers above all the sections of text. Below each
section, tabbed in a few spaces, is what occurs when you press on that point.
At the end of the cross-examination, before the hyphens, there are a few lines
that are not tabbed in, which is what is said after you cycle through all of
the testimony. What is after that scene will be what happens immediately after
the cross-examination music stops. That is usually after an objection, but in
some cases it is not. In those non-objection cases, the requirements for
ending the cross-examination and continuing are at the appropriate point in
the scene.
In cases where a part of a testimony is changed, that part will be numbered #b
(Example: 8b). In the example, 8a will indicate when to change to 8b, and 8b
then follows the rules of a normal piece of testimony, with the press text
below it.
At any point in the game, in the case that a block of text is changed after
you perform a certain task, or go through another block of text, it will be
indicated rather clearly, however there is no fixed format. There is a good
chance that I missed text branches due to the way the game sometimes does
this, so any help would be appreciated.
Lastly, and least importantly because you probably could figure it out, if a
line is missing a name tag, that means there wasn't one. So without further
ado, continue reading to Case 1.
|COURT RECORD|
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Firstly, some info on the court record. As you can see below, cases are
divided using alternating = and - with the case number at the beginning.
Evidence and profiles are divided clearly. A point of mention is Maya's Cell
Phone from Case 2. The method of showing the information contained within the
piece of evidence is with a box of dots (.) similar to the box of stars used in
the script. This is the only case of it so far. I don't remember much about
Case 4, but I know it will reoccur in Case 5 with the ability to examine
evidence.
