Nine Years Later----
It's been nine years since the day of that barbeque, where
it all started. Things are going well. Pearl is now married, through an
arranged marriage and expecting what we now know to be a girl----The carrying
on of the Fey line. Believe me, I was planning this for quite some time. Heh heh heh.
Unfortunately, I didn't plan on
sitting here, in my living room with three adopted kids and now that it's been
awhile, legally married to someone fifteen years younger than me and sitting
next to her.
"So, why is it me that stays home and not you?" I
asked.
"You had enough money to retire----Remember? I'm still
making money, so that in case something happens----Such as you trashing the
house badly again, we have the money to do repairs if the floor should ever
mold again and-," Maya started but I cut her off.
"Okay, okay, I get the hint," I said.
"Anyways, don't forget to pick up the groceries on the
way home," I said.
"Yeah, and you don't forget to take the kids to school
on Monday," Maya said.
So here I am----With the life I always feared. I live with four girls, unfortunately, so it's hard raising
three girls when both of you are tomboys. To make it worse, they're all teenagers, since they got adopted as young kids,
not newborns. So that's my story, of how I made one error through cooking the
wrong menu items.
The End.
